Key Stage 2 National Comparative Report 2016
The table below shows the key stage 2 SATs results for Sharps Copse Primary School for 2016; these were the outcomes of the tests and tasks undertaken by the year 6 pupils in May 2016. The national data for 2016 is alongside our school figures. This year we are reporting results for 39 pupils with each pupil worth 2.6%. This is a strong set of results for reading, writing and mathematics combined and it is above the national average. We are pleased with the attainment and in particular the progress in reading, writing
and mathematics. Our writing outcomes were moderated by Hampshire Local Authority, thus underlining a robust and accurate judgement. The children’s attitude to learning is good and they have worked hard over a sustained period to achieve these results; they are to be commended for their efforts. The table summarises the percentage of children who achieved the expected standard and some who may have achieved greater depth. There is also a average scaled score for reading and mathematics, which again can be compared to the national average.
Nationally, children took tests in reading, spelling, punctuation and grammar and mathematics; a teacher assessment is provided for writing. If you have any questions regarding this data, please do not hesitate to contact the school.
