At Sharps Copse Primary School children are identified as having SEND through a variety of ways including the following:-

  • Liaison with Nursery and attached advisors or previous school
  • Child performing below age expected levels
  • Concerns raised by Parent
  • Concerns raised by teacher
  • Liaison with outside agencies such as Health and Speech.

At Sharps Copse we support children with additional needs in a variety of ways including:

  • small group and 1 to 1 interventions
  • Specific educational programmes
  • school therapy pack
  • Speech and language support
  • Nurture provision
  • Learning Mentor, ELSA and school Counsellor support
